Enterprise. Ms English has an MA from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales. Ms English is an independent non-executive director on the Board, and is also the
Chairman of the remuneration committee and a member of the audit and risk committee.
Dr. Yousef Al Awadi, Non-independent Non-executive Director
Dr. Yousef Al Awadi is the Chief Executive of YAA Consultancy, Kuwait. He holds Board directorships on several
government and private sector entities in the financial, industrial and real estate sectors both in Kuwait and
internationally. He was formerly the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Kuwait Investment Office in London
and was also the Chief General Manager and CEO of Gulf Bank, Kuwait. Dr. Al Awadi has a BA from the American
University of Beirut and a MA and a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Colorado, USA. In 2004, he was
awarded the Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, KBE. Dr. Al Awadi is a
non-independent non-executive director on the Board, and is also the Chairman of the audit and risk committee and a
member of the remuneration committee.
Mohamed Yusof Rafie, Independent Non-executive Director
Mohamed Yusof Rafie has previously worked in Saudi Aramco, where he held a number of positions including Senior
Vice President of Gas Operations and Vice President of Petroleum Engineering. He is the Chairman of Board for
Industrialization & Energy Services Company and previously was a Board member of the National Committee for World
Petroleum Congress and Chairman of the Board of Aramco Gulf Operations Company. He has a B.Sc in Petroleum
Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt. Mr. Rafie is an independent non-executive director on the Board, and is also
the Chairman of the nomination committee and a member of the remuneration committee.

Mohammed Al Howqal, Chief Operating Officer
Mohammed Al Howqal has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including acting as Regional
Manager for the Southeast Asia region, Middle East & North Africa region for KUFPEC). Mr Al Howqal has managerial
experience of Operated and non-Operated projects and his strengths lie in negotiations and forming strategic alliances.
Mr Al Howqal holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of West Virginia, US.
Mohammed Aboush, Senior Vice President, Iraq
Mohammed Aboush has over 21 years of experience in petroleum engineering, field development (production pipelines,
oil and gas processing) and business development. He worked as Director General within the Ministry of Oil, Iraq and
was Head of the Technical Department in the Directorate of National Manufacturing for Oil Equipment, Ministry of Oil,
Iraq. Director of oil operations in North Oil Company, Iraq. Mr Aboush is the Issuer’s authorised representative in Iraq
and is a member of the Iraqi – Kuwaiti Committee for Oil Co-operation. Mr Aboush has a BSc in Mechanical
Engineering from the University College of Swansea, United Kingdom.
John Hoholick, Senior Vice President, Technology
John Hoholick obtained his BA degree in Geology from University of Pennsylvania at Millersville, and obtained his Post
Graduate-Sedimentology from Indiana University, and had Master of Science (Distinction)-Geology from the University
of Cincinnati. He has over 30 years of experience working with Exxon Company USA, Exxon Azerbaijan, Exxon
Kazakhstan, ExxonMobil Kuwait and ExxonMobil Ukraine.
Corporate governance
The Board has established audit and risk, remuneration and nomination committees and has had such committees in
place since 22 February 2012. During 2013, each of the committees met on four, four and three occasions, respectively.
