Kuwait Energy classifies its recordable incidents as Fatalities, Lost Time Incidents, Restricted Work Incidents and
Medical Treatment Incidents.
No recordable incident took place in Kuwait Energy’s operated areas during the third quarter of 2016. Only one LTI
incident took place year-to-date on 15
th
February 2016 Area A in Egypt, which was reported in the Q1 2016 report.

. The
Q3 2016 average daily WI
production
stood at
22,742 boepd
; 4.7% lower than the previous quarter (
23,859 boepd
) mainly due to natural
production decline in ERQ and Abu Sennan in Egypt. Production in Yemen remains shut down since April 2015 as a
consequence of the political situation that continue to prevent cargo ships from entering the oil export port.
The Group continues to produce steadily in Iraq with YTD average daily WI production of
3,119 boepd
from Faihaa-
1 well in Block 9, and this has more than
doubled since the commencement of production from Faihaa-2
in early
October 2016.
In Egypt, Kuwait Energy was able to
expedite production of the newly discovered Al Jahraa SE-1X
well
which began
production on 25
th
August 2016
providing 400 boepd gross. In addition to the new discovery Kuwait Energy
sidetracked ASH-1X ST2
and this was
completed and put into production on 10
th
September 2016
, providing an
additional 450 boepd gross
.
