appraisal well:

A well drilled as part of an appraisal drilling

programme which is carried out to determine the physical extent,

reserves and likely production rate of a field.

boepd

: barrels of oil equivalent per day

development well

: a well drilled within the proved or probable

reserves area of al oil or gas reservoir to the depth of a

stratigraphic horizon known to be productive

EBITDA

:

Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and

Amortization

EGPC

: Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation

exploration well:

a well drilled to determine whether

hydrocarbons are present.

field:

the geographical area encompassing a group of one or more

underground petroleum pools sharing he same or related

infrastructure.

proven reserves :

conditions, operating methods, and government regulations

Probable reserves:

reserves which analysis of geological and

engineering data suggests are more likely than not to be

recoverable
